Bombay Biryani Recipe

Shan Special Bombay Biryani [mix for rice pilaf with meat & potatoes]

 

Recipe: Bombay Biryani
Ingredients required: Beef/chicken/mutton 500g, basmati rice soaked 500g, onions 300g, tomatoes 300g, potatoes 250g, ginger 25g, garlic paste 25g, plain yoghurt 200g, ghee/oil 175g, shan bombay biryani one packet.

Method: 1] fry onions in oil until golden, add tomatoes and fry until oil seperates. 2] Add meat, garlic, ginger, potato, yoghurt, and shan bombay biryani - fry for 15 mins. Add 1-2 cup water and cook on low heat till meat tender. Then increase heat and cook until oil sepearates from gravy.  3] Separately: in 12 glasses of hot water add 3tbsp shan salt and the soaked rice. Boil until rice is more than half cooked. Remove from heat and drain water. 4] spread the cooked meat and curry over the rice in 2 layers. Cover the pot and cook on low heat until rice is fully cooked and tender, mix before serving.

Ingredients; salt. red chilli, dried plums with pits, fenugreek seeds, dill seeds, turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper, cumin,  nigella seeds, bay leaf, fennel, brown cardamom, green cardamom, ginger, garlic, cloves, black cumin, papain, natural and artificial food flavour: screwpine, artificial food colouring fd&c yellow no 5 & 6, e102, e110.
